Not since the it's creation has blood mixed with the soil of Armeniá, all wars had been fought in the heavens, far from Armeniá itself. But an evil like no other lurked in the void, as old as Light and Darkness it had remained hidden since the begining of time...waiting for the right time to strike. This foul shadow would bring a war like no other to the world.
In 8,700 FA the Guardian of the world was an Elf known as Celeborn, he had a son commonly known as Daeron. The young Prince was known as the fairest and most honorable man in all of Armeniá...perhaps this is why the Monster chose him. It was the Feast of The Second creation when it came in the form of a beautiful woman. Seducing the Prince with lust filled whispers and promises she lured him away from the Great Hall. Never again would the Prince be seen again. For two cycles his father searched for bis son...but to no avail. He had been taken by the monster to Hell a void of its own creation.
In Hell the Prince was tortured and twisted until all good left him. The monster broke his spirit and twisted him into a new vile form of its own creation. When the Prince returned no long was he the Prince of all that is good and well, but all things villa and corrupt. He became The First Dark Lord...meanwhile the monster retreated to Hell to watch his masterpiece unfold before him. The Dark Lord Daeron first went to a Dwarven Hall. Not knowing the dark changes that occurred in the Prince the massive stone gates were opened to him and then chaos was let loose.
Daeron was more powerful than any other mortal before him, and with these powers he turned slaughtered thr Dwarves. 12,000 Dwarves died that fateful day, the remaining 3,000 were in turn captured by Daeron and placed in chains of fire...he did to them what the monster did to him. Corrupting their minds with chaos and death he created the first Goblins of the world. Before the Dark Prince, peace was universal there were no soldiers to speak of, men hunted but that was for pleasure not combat. And so with his army of 3,000 Daeron was able to lay waste to his world. Slaying many champions and pushing the Elves, Men and Dwarves to the edge of the world. The Orcs fearing his power and mistaking him for a God joined their forces with his. Now at the Army five million strong The Dark Princes' victory seemed assured. Then the young human Alicia showed herself. And it was her who slew The Dark Prince.
The three uncorrupted Elder Races were forced into exile and Daemon ruled the world without fear or competition. He stopped his conquests and for cussed on preperation for war with the New Gods when they awoke, to do this he sacrificed millions of people to increase his power. However despite all the terror in the world there was a glimpse of hope. A sma human resistance group had formed and we're striking at The Dark Prince, hardly strong enough to do significant damage they were nothing more than a speck of dust to The Prince. Though one girl, daughter of the resistance captain would discover something hidden deep in a cave. Her name was Alicia and her discovery was purr accident, she was accident normal girl who had a unique destiny. She discovered the Silver Boat used by Sëmeres and Osirubis to steal the secrets of creation. Thinking nothing of it she climbed into the boat to investigate it in greater detail. Though as she did the skiff shined, and it's sail was let loose. Screaming she rose among the stars and past the sleeping kingdom of the New Gods...straight towards The realm of thr Old Gods.
It was there she met Sëmeres and told him of their plight...Sëmeres unlike Osirubis and the other Old Gods did not see the mortals as threats, rather as grandchildren. Taking pity on her, he gifted her his Silver Bow, with arrows dipped in the blood of the Midnight Fire Beast Light and Dark sent to kill him and his friend so long ago. He then sent her back to her world with a blessing, "Slay the Dark Prince and bring Peace to your world, I will always look after you, from now until the end of times." With her new weaponry the young Alicia led the small resistance group from victory to victory until she gained the attention of the Dark Lord.
It was on the Plains of Klorynth where the budding tree now stands where she gave her life and took the Dark Lords' the duel was epic and lasted many daus before she realized what the price for victory would be...alowing herself to fall upon the Princes' blade to deliver a fatal blow to his head. Both fell dead instantly. The death of such a powerful being was strong enough to wake the New Gods as it was fealt across all voids. Armeniá was saved by the young hero, and as the Dark One fell so did his corruption. Land that was dead before suddenly sprang to life...his fouls creation Goblins were forced into hiding and took to Bogs, Caves and Deep Woods.
The New Gods blamed the event on the Elves, due to this and the fact that the savior of Armeniá was a human, Men were given the title of Guardians of the world. The Orcs for their betrayal were punished severly, it is though that before this they resembled large versions of Elves...but now they looked like beasts. Horns and tusks grew from their face, their skin became green, brown and black as marks of shame to forever set them apart from the uncorrupted races. This ends the First Age and so begins the Second, where tales stop becoming legend and start becoming history. The New Gods searched for the Monster named The Shadow, but it was to no avail. The identity and location of the horrid creature remained unknown to all.
